For the last 5 years these Puerto Rican and Minnesotan musicians have come together to form the best Salsa and Merengue fusion band our local music scene has ever experienced. Tropical Zone's Grand Salsa Fridays at Dixie's on Grand Ave. St. Paul has become a Twin Cities Classic for the local dancers. From opening shows for Big Headliners to Host a Hector Lavoe's Tribute Concert, this band has been all over town. Last year, Univision Minnesota, Channel 13, honored them with a Local Latin Grammy for "BEST SALSA BAND of 2010". And now, the Tapestry Folkdance Center committed to bring you the best and launching a new year of dancing extravaganza presents: The Tropical Zone Orchestra LIVE Saturday Jan. 7th 2012
